The 16th annual Hell On Wheels SASS High Plains Regional Match is drawing near. This year the match kicks off on Thursday, June 28th, with Side Matches that include Warm-up Stages, Wild Bunch, Long Range events, Speed events, and of course, Pocket Pistol and Derringer events. Side Match awards will be presented on Friday night in the big tent before Casino Night. The Main match runs Friday and Saturday with two waves of six stages each day. Casino Night on Friday is always a hoot with Blackjack tables, a Texas Hold’em Tournament and the always popular Go Fish tournament. This year the Banquet and Costume Contest will be at the Terry Bison Ranch, just south of Cheyenne. More information about this event can be found on the Banquet page. The Working Costume judges will be wandering the range on Saturday so plan to show off your best working outfit. The weekend will wrap up on Sunday with Top Gun, followed by the Awards Ceremony.

We invite everyone to join the High Plains Long Riders in saluting the men and women currently serving in our Armed Forces at home and abroad as well as all veterans by participating in our Red Shirt Friday (www.redshirtfridays.org) show of support. The motto of the Red Shirt Fridays movement is "They Bleed Red So We Wear Red". Our goal this year is to flood Hell On Wheels with Red on June 29th.
